Personal Details

Parent and student personal details are collected as part of the service we provide at UK Virtual School. This includes contact details, student SEN & medical information and photo / video permissions and any information collected as part of the teaching we offer. All details held about you are visible in your ‘My Account’ page.

Cookies

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser. When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. .

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, programming tasks etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

All orders are held live or archived for 7 years for accounting purposes.

If you have an account on this site you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Additional information

  • All data on the site is regularly backed up and continuity procedures are in place to ensure minimum disruption to service should a website error occur.
  • UK Virtual School is registered as a data controller with ICO and we have data protection procedures in place which all staff are expected to follow. This includes clear procedures of how to report any breach of data protection.
  • In line with UK Safeguarding law, where a child discloses anything to us which indicates that they may be at risk of physical or mental harm, we have a duty of care to record and pass these concerns on. At this time, personal details linked to that account may be disclosed to relevant authorities.
