Season 2, Episode 5 – Cross Cultural Fusion – The Power of Online
On this episode, you’ll meet Hassan, who’s the Arabic teacher at UK Virtual School. One of the advantages of learning languages at an online school is we can employ native speakers who share their culture and insight as well as their language.

Syd is a multi-award winning educator with a vision to disrupt education. She has worked with over 13,000 children over the 12 years. Syd’s vision is to have an impact on the world through education – she wants to reach as many children and believes education can open up doors to a better and more fulfilled life.
She continues to work as a private tutor for a small selection of families providing 1:1 tailored approach. Syd has worked in radio, speaks at events, and supports other tutors and educators through coaching and support. She is a big advocate of girls in STEM (she holds a MSci in Theoretical Physics and Applied Mathematics) and won the Outstanding Woman in STEM award in 2019 for her outreach work through her work at Femtinos.
