A Look Back at 2020
Live classes and video recordings. Over the past couple of months, we’ve had about 1,227 Zoom sessions and around 377 recorded videos were produced and edited. What started in a virtual room with a few families has now grown into a community.
Feedback and meetings. We are consistent with the monthly meetings. We believe that establishing a culture of learning should be a collaborative process – between us at UKVS and our families. Gaining feedback directly from parents and kids gives us a better perspective on making things work. We are grateful for all the positive feedback posted on our page! We’re happy to have made homeschooling a good experience for you.
Fun events. Last year, the UK Virtual School teaching and admin staff tried dressing up for Halloween. We saw that it was a hit and we surely had loads of fun! It made sense to hold the same engaging event for our dearest students. The first ever UKVS Christmas dress-up event was successful – we had all the guests singing and dancing, dressed in their best Christmas costumes! Oh, we played games too!
Engaging social clubs. We introduced a trial run of our social clubs last year. A lot of fun activities were launched! After a successful run from November to December, we have chosen the most popular clubs that the kids seemed to really enjoy. Do you want to join the fun? Message us to book your social club tickets.
Recognitions. UK Virtual School has been recognised not only in one, but in two categories for the ABCC Awards 2020! We’re finalists for the Start-up Business of the Year and Diversity & Inclusion categories. This would not have been possible without the support of our UKVS community, who continue to inspire us. You are the reason why we are pushing 100% and more.
We are excited for what’s coming next in the year 2021. Thank you for sticking with us! Expect that this year will be bigger. Welcome to a new year!
